Popular Epson V700 / V500 and V600 scanners are now in stock.

We're reviewed all the scanners in the Epson (Epson V700, V600, V500 , V350 and V300) and sure the V700 is the one to get if you can afford it. Just a few years ago the same performance would have been ten times the price!

The Epson V600 attempts to deliver the goods at a price point which is lower then the flagship V700. You can not profile the scanner using Epson Scan and thus couldn't deliver reliable results from the color negatives we tried. If you use higher end software like VueScan or Silverfast it will run much better, but then you are getting up to the price of the Epson V700 which gives you better scans out of the box and has higher dynamic range.

But if you can live with an unprofiled device and primarily want to scan black and white images or slides, the V600 did well enough to make prints to hang at home.

A3 Scanners start with home/small business models (i.e. Twain-Pro A3) that are not as fast or well built as the heavy duty scanners. They are very popular because of the price and do a great job for the occasional scan, if you were scanning all day you'd soon wish you'd spent a little more as time is money.

They are much more solid and faster than a basic A3 scanner, you can also add a Transparency adaptor (lid with moving light) for film & X-Ray etc.
