Q. What is the difference between a printer and a Plotter?

Plotters use moving pens, great for plans but so-so for graphics/photos. • Printers use multi-nozzle print heads (normally ink jet, sometimes thermal) that can print true photo graphic quality. • Plotters in many cases have been replaced by large-format inkjet printers. Large format printers are often known as plotters, even though they are not technically plotters.
